This picture was taken at the award ceremony at the annual meeting of the History of Science Society in Atlanta in 2016. I received the Nathan Reingold Prize, which is awarded for the best essay by a graduate student, for my paper, “‘Nature Doth Not Work by Election’: John Wallis (1616-1703) on Natural and Divine Action”.
While you’re here, be sure to check out my Research and Publications page, which includes a description of my academic workshop, “John Wallis at 400”, and my Teaching page, which includes course syllabi and my teaching philosophy statement.
When I’m not doing research or teaching, I’m usually busy being a dad, watching/reading science fiction, or gaming. You can see posts about some of these interests on my blog.
